Grandpont Nursery School and Childcare are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the development of children in their formative years. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a crucial role in fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the needs of children aged 0-5 years. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's development. Manage daily activities and routines within the nursery setting, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting learning plans as necessary. Promote positive behaviour and social skills among children, encouraging cooperation and respect. Lead activities that stimulate children's creativity, curiosity, and physical development through play-based learning. Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 3 or equivalent). Experience working with young children in a nursery or educational setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate both children and fellow educators. A proactive approach with the drive to create an enriching learning environment for all children. Knowledge of child development theories and practices relevant to early years education. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
