We are looking for a passionate Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our family at Nursery Times.
Ideally, you should be able to read stories upside down, with at least 10 interruptions per page. Resemble traits of an octopus with 8 arms and legs to support any little person that needs it at the same time. Be bilingual, particulary in toddler language.
You will preferably have a little quirkiness with a dash of eccentricness - if a child requests that you are on a mission to mars to save all the dinosaurs from the volcanic lava but when you get there you have to get them all onto a rocketship and navigate them through a meteor shower, then you will be the best astronaut you can be!
Must not be afraid to dance in the rain, make mud pies and Jump up and down in muddy puddles!
Posessing the skills required to rapadly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of the upmost inportance. Be as quick as a gazelle, when you witness the mischievous look in a little persons eyes.
Nose wiping skills are desired, as well as eyes on the back of your head!
Teamwork is essential as it divides the work but multiplies the success.
Finally you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. Realise the integral role you play in lots of special peoples lives.
Hourly rate will be discussed at the interview
Successful candidates should have a sound knowledge and understanding of relevant documents such as Realising the Ambition, GIRFEC, Pre Birth to 3 and Curriculum for Excellence and be confident when using these to support their practice.
Applicants must hold an HNC or SVQ3 relevant childcare qualification.
