We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
Supervise and support children during play, learning sessions, and mealtimes
Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff team through effective communication
Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members
Assist in organising daily routines and special events within the nursery or childcare setting
Support colleagues with leadership tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance childcare practices and early childhood education knowledge
Skills
Proven experience with children, ideally within nursery or early childhood education settings
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood development principles (pre-birth to 3- Being Me and Curriculum of Excellence
Organised with the ability to plan activities that cater to diverse learning needs
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about fostering young children's growth and learning
