Footprints Child Care Ltd are a family run nursery looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable practitioner to join our busy team of educators. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and experience of working with young children and a willingness to help our children grow and develop in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a full and relevant level 2 or 3 qualification in Early years and have previous experience and knowledge of working within the early years sector.
For the right candidate we will accept applications for experienced level 2 practitioners who would like to train towards their level 3 EYE in the form of an apprenticeship. Our preferred supplier is Runshaw College, however this is not a requirement of the position offered.
Our nursery supports children from birth to 5 years and so practical hands on experience of working with this age group is a must, further training will also be given on working within the Early years environment.
You will work as part of team of professional educators providing care and education for children from birth to five years, working shifts between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm (usually 8 hours 20 mins a day, minimum of 3 days a week) over a maximum of 51 weeks of the year. Your annual starting holiday entitlement will be 28 days (for full time employees working 41.65 hours a week, includes bank holidays). You will help the children to learn according to the Early Years Foundation curriculum whilst maintaining a high level of safeguarding and care for the children. You will be expected to plan and carry out activities and perform assessments on the children to ensure they are learning and developing at the appropriate age range.

All legislative training such as First Aid and Safeguarding is paid for in advance of recruitment, as well as an enhanced DBS. You will be required to register with the DBS Update service once recruited to ensure the continuation of your contract.
