Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our forward thinking, Ofsted rated Outstanding PreSchool team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being while fostering their love for learning and the world around them.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of children in the nursery setting. Manage daily activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all children. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and encourage parental involvement. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their development. Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Lead activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development through play-based learning. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in childcare. Participate in our outdoor classroom sessions set in local private woodland.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is required. Level 2 or above early years qualification desirable. Must be comfortable working partly in an outdoor environment. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children and parents. Ability to manage classroom dynamics while demonstrating leadership qualities that inspire both children and colleagues. A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development through modelling and high quality interactions. Knowledge of child development theories and practices is an advantage.

This is a part time role. Initially we require someone to work with us on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am through to 3.30pm. For the right candidate there is some flexibility in the hours requested.

Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week
