Job Overview

Education Assets Ltd is a specialist recruitment agency supporting nurseries across the UK. We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Room Leads to join the nurseries we work with on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Room Lead, you will:

Lead and manage a room within the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education. Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Support, mentor, and guide a team of practitioners. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff. Maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating environment at all times.

Requirements

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years

(essential). Previous experience as a Room Lead or Senior Practitioner (desirable). Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A background in early childhood education or related qualifications is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
