Job Summary

Daisy Chain is a Montessori Day Nursery open from 7.30 - 6pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am - 4.30pm on Fridays.

We are open all year round but shut for bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas.

We take children from 18 months to five years and have been established in the community for almost twenty years. We have a very low staff turn over due to offering great pay, holiday and incentives.

From July 2025 we are looking for a Nursery Nurse/ Early Years Practitioner to join our team on a Full time (40 hours) permanent basis. Preferably Level 3/2 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or with an applicable Montessori Diploma, however we are open to keen and enthusiastic applicants and this is not essential! We are happy to train people especially if just out of college and looking for the next step!

The Children's happiness is our priority and we strive to create a warm, friendly and stimulating environment. We hope the ideal candidate would have knowledge in the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and of Ofsted regulations.

A guide on the role of a Nursery Nurse include:

Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times

The Salary will range between: 28,000 and 30,000

Holidays: You will be given all UK Bank Holidays off with pay. Plus 17 days annual leave throughout the year and approx 8 paid days at Christmas (depending on how bank holidays fall, a minimum of two weeks off.

Because of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken. This post will be exempt from the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Level 3 / 2 or Montessori Diploma - Desirable NOT essential, we are happy to train!!
