Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team for a temporary 9 month position. This may be extended to a permanent position. The successful candidate will work with a team to be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team with children aged 0-5 yrs

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes learning, creativity, and socialisation Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of development milestones Support children's emotional well-being through positive behaviour management and effective communication Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic care and education Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play sessions Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and childcare standards Must be able to work 3/4 full days per week between 7.30am and 6 pm

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare) or equivalent recognised certification Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Organised, proactive, with a genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and learning An Enhanced DBS is required for this post, along with at least two references.
