Job Description

Due to an ongoing increase in demand, Roche Pebbles Childcare Centre has a vacancy for full time childcare assistant, working within the Toddler Room, for a non profit making, friendly and well established setting. It would be beneficial to be qualified and experienced and willing to work between the hours of 8.00am - 6.00pm, all year round, although hours can be discussed to meet the needs of the applicant and the setting. The hourly rate starts at 12.50, for an experienced candidate.

Applicants must be able to meet the needs of the individual child through the Early Years Foundation Stage, including understanding the importance of being a key person and how to plan accordingly for each child, whilst evidencing their development phases through their Learning Journeys, via the Famly APP.'

We have a passion for Forest school, with one staff member holding their level 3 in Forest School Leadership. We also have a purpose built sensory room/quiet room for children to chill and relax.

You must be able to work well within a team, yet be able to use your initiative when required, making good use of time management. Excellent communication skills are essential, as close working relationships between the setting, home, and with other professionals are of paramount importance.

All applicants must have good English, Maths, ICT skills and have up to date Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and knowledge of the Ofsted standards, the Early Years Statutory Framework 2025 and safeguarding procedures.

Roche Pebbles is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm for 50 weeks of the year, for children aged from 3 months to 4 years 6 months. 80 children are currently on role.
