Childcare Practitioner - Day Nursery

Streatham, South West London

We are a welcoming day nursery based in Streatham, South West London, providing care and education for up to 61 children aged 0-5 years in a homely and friendly environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified childcare practitioner to join a supportive and professional team, delivering high-quality early years education and care.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Monitor, record, and support each child's progress and individual needs. Collaborate with team members to uphold a high standard of care and education. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health, and safety regulations.
Requirements

Childcare qualification Level 3 or above. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar childcare or daycare role. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development. Good knowledge of health and safety legislation. Awareness of equal opportunities and inclusive practice.

Vacancies Available

1. Part-time: 16-18 hours per week (Thursday & Friday).

2. Full-time: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday).

Shifts are 8 hours per day (excluding lunch), between 8am-6pm. Please note this is a year-round role, not term-time only.

Additional Information

Enhanced DBS Disclosure and two references required. Start date: 01/10/2025. Education: Certificate of Higher Education (preferred). Experience: 1+ year in childcare (preferred). Work Location: In person (London).
