We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team on a temporary basis to cover planned colleague absence. The position could lead to bank cover on an ad-hoc basis if the suitable candidate prefers this type of flexibility or a permanent postion.

Essentials:
Qualifications at NVQ2 (or equivalent) in Early Years or above
OR
a minimum of 2 years working experience in a nursery.
You must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be capable of supporting children's learning, development and welfare.
Strong written/verbal communication skills
Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
Empathy, Friendly, Caring & professional nature
Good organisational skills
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with children, parents and staff
Excellent punctuality and to be available to work with shifts, between 7.30 am and 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday
An enhanced DBS check will be required at the candidate's expense. Professional references are required from most recent employers.
Salary is competitive; depending on age, qualifications and experience. Reviewed annually
There is the opportunity for additional hours, as and when the business needs it. Further training will be provided.

GCSE Maths & English C or above (or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities:
Understand the key person role and liaise, as necessary with parents/carers to ensure individual needs are met
Be responsible for observing and using the EYFS to monitor key children's progress and development
To actively promote and support the Safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults in the workplace by providing a safe and secure environment
Ensure the settings policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Attend and participate in any further training programmes to up-skill and improve your learning
Deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps young children to develop and flourish
Working in partnership with other professionals to ensure all individual needs are met and all children are able to reach their full potential.
Building and maintaining the attachments with children developing effective relationships with parents, carers and staff
Hours
: (rota notified 4 weeks in advance)
Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7.30 am to 6.00 pm on a rota basis.
Pay:
dependent on qualification
