We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your early years skills whilst making a positive impact on children's early learning experiences. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a genuine interest in early childhood education and childcare. This is a term time only position.
Duties
Plan, organise, and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
Foster a caring and inclusive environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues as required.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities ensuring their safety at all times.
Support children's individual needs through personalised planning.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation within the childcare setting.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that enhance early childhood development.
Manage behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and wellbeing.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children within an early childhood setting.
Knowledge of child development principles and The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent are desirable.
A caring attitude with patience, organisation, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. This role offers an enriching environment where your skills in childcare, and communication will be valued as you contribute to the growth and development of young children in your care.
