Job Description
Our nursery is open on a term-time only basis, 7:30am - 5:30pm. We are seeking to appoint a practitioner for either 2, 3 or 4 full (fixed) days per week.
Footprints Nursery is a small nursery provision in the centre of Acomb. We work with a relatively low number of children aged 0-4yrs old.
We are seeking to appoint a qualified Nursery Assistant to provide high quality, child-centred care and education. Successful candidates will participate in planning to provide a range of activities designed to meet the individual and communal needs and interests of the children in their care.
We are a small, friendly team of experienced professionals. Our nursery opened in 2021 and has proven to be very popular in the area - we're completely oversubscribed and have a lengthy waiting list. Meals are provided to staff free of charge.
You will act as a key-person for a group of children and be able to supervise and encourage positive, safe behaviour. You will conduct regular observations on children and assist in completing developmental records. You will be an excellent communicator with children, colleagues, and parents. Additional responsibilities involve ensuring the premises remain clean, tidy, safe and secure as well as assisting children with personal hygiene and care.
*For term time only staff our pay is 13 per hour with holiday pay accrued on top of this figure at a rate of 12.07% (14.57ph in total). Please see our website for further details.
