Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of each child. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn. Observe and assess children's development, documenting their progress and planning next steps. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team atmosphere that supports the overall goals of the nursery. Manage daily routines, ensuring that all activities are conducted smoothly and safely. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to create positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience in childcare practices that promote child development is advantageous. A valid driving licence may be beneficial A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and adhering to health and safety regulations.
