Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of children in our care. The Early Years Educator will play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Duties

Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education are maintained. Maintain accurate records of children's activities and development. Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for childcare and early years education. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative. Driving licence preferred but not essential for the role. A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
