Working Hours & Availability
This is an
all year round
role (not term-time only). Applicants must be available to work shifts
between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm
, to accommodate the nursery's opening times. Working patterns are set on a rota basis and discussed in advance.

Job Role and Responsibilities
As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for children aged 0-5 years. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering age-appropriate, creative, and engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Supporting children's physical, emotional, social, and educational development
Observing and assessing children's progress and maintaining accurate records
Building strong relationships with children, families, and the wider nursery team
Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive environment
Contributing to team meetings, training, and continuous professional development
Supporting the nursery's values of inclusivity, kindness, and community
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years Education (or working towards)
Passionate about working with young children and supporting their development
Friendly, nurturing, and approachable
A strong team player with good communication and organisational skills
Knowledgeable about EYFS principles, safeguarding, and health & safety

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, along with excellent communication and leadership skills. The Early Years Educator will be responsible for supporting the development of children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety, and promoting their learning through engaging activities.
Duties
Create and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all children, ensuring their well-being at all times.
Engage with children through play-based learning, encouraging exploration and curiosity.
Maintain effective communication with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and development.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of care and education provided.
Manage classroom activities, ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently.
Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Experience
Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and volunteers effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
