We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development for children in our nursery setting. You will play a vital role in supporting children's growth, fostering their curiosity, and helping them develop essential skills.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the developmental needs of children.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
Manage classroom behaviour by implementing positive discipline strategies.
Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of care provided.
Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education trends and practices.
Skills
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
Leadership abilities to guide and inspire young learners effectively.
Capability to manage classroom dynamics while fostering a positive learning environment.
A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development through play-based learning.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance educational experiences for children.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
Qualifications
Minimum NVQ level 3 in Childcare or equivalent desirable but not essential as full training can be provided
