Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the setting up of a brand new nursery, nurturing and developing the potential of young children in a stimulating and safe environment. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, along with the ability to effectively communicate and manage classroom dynamics.

Responsibilities

Create and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and social interaction among children. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery space that adheres to health and safety regulations. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and families to support their educational journey. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.

Skills

Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to manage classroom behaviour positively while promoting an inclusive environment for all children. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and motivate young learners. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable. A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or excursions.

Pay: From 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 41 per week
