Job Description

We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic, and reliable Early Years Practitioner to join our small, nurturing nursery opposite Chalkwell Park. As part of a close-knit team, you'll help deliver inspiring, play-based learning experiences for children aged 2-5 in a nature-connected, home-from-home environment.

This is a full-time, room-based role in a 16-place nursery, perfect for someone who enjoys building strong bonds with children and families.

? Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality early years care and education in line with the EYFS framework

Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support learning and development

Act as a key person for a small group of children, building strong partnerships with parents

Carry out observations, assessments and learning journals to track progress

Support daily routines including mealtimes, toileting, and transitions

Help maintain a clean, safe and engaging environment indoors and outdoors

Participate in regular outings (including daily walks in Chalkwell Park)

Work closely with the wider team to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere

? Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or equivalent)

Minimum 1 year's nursery experience (2+ preferred)

Strong understanding of the EYFS, child development, and safeguarding

A nurturing, calm and playful personality

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Paediatric First Aid is desirable (training can be provided)

A genuine passion for giving children the best possible start in life

Pay: 24,500.00-25,500.00 per year
