Level 3 Early Years Practitioner
(Inspire. Teach. Make Every Moment Count)
Full-time | 38-40 hrs/week | Mon-Fri | 7:30am-6:00pm | 51 weeks/year
At Brooklands Childcare, we believe in giving every child the strongest possible start in life - through quality first teaching, a carefully designed curriculum, and a team of practitioners who are passionate, reflective, and purposeful.
We are looking for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner who can turn theory into practice and care into impact. Someone who sees the value in every child, understands the importance of strong curriculum intent, and believes that early education changes lives.
What We Stand For
At Brooklands, we align with Ofsted's expectations not just because we have to -- but because we believe in them. Our practice is driven by:
Clear intent behind our curriculum and everything we do
Thoughtful, child-led implementation that supports meaningful learning
Measurable impact seen in every child's development, progress and confidence
We champion:
Strong language development through high-quality interactions
A commitment to building cultural capital through enriched experiences
Respectful routines and secure attachments that support positive behaviour
A safe, inclusive environment where every child and adult can thrive
Your Role Will Include:
Teaching and Curriculum Delivery
Use your knowledge of the EYFS to plan, deliver and reflect on engaging, sequenced learning
Implement a curriculum that builds on children's interests while ensuring depth and progression
Deliver high-quality teaching that supports all children, including those with SEND or EAL
Key Person Responsibilities
Develop secure attachments and emotional availability for a small group of children
Observe, assess and respond to learning in ways that support school readiness and life skills
Build strong, trusting relationships with families - working in true partnership
Enriching Cultural Capital
Provide experiences that open up the world for our children - nature walks, baking, music, storytelling, and more
Celebrate diversity, individuality, and every child's voice
Support social development, curiosity, confidence and resilience through creative opportunities
Professional Reflection and Growth
Work as part of a reflective team that's always striving to improve
Engage in regular CPD and supervision - because great practitioners are always learning
Contribute ideas, take initiative, and shape the learning environment around the children you know best
Safeguarding and High Standards
Protect children with vigilance and compassion
Follow procedures confidently, act proactively and support a safeguarding-first culture
Uphold a calm, nurturing environment where all children feel safe, secure and seen
What You'll Gain:
A setting that lives and breathes Ofsted's key principles through genuine, child-centred practice
A culture of trust, curiosity and improvement
Monthly Staff Recognition Awards - because the little things you do make a big difference
Your birthday off every year - because you deserve to be celebrated too
Access to an online holiday request system for ease and transparency
Full online access to all policies and procedures, so you feel informed, supported and confident
A strong commitment to staff wellbeing - including open communication, supportive leadership, and a genuine focus on work-life balance
Tailored CPD that supports your career goals, whether in SEN, leadership, teacher, social worker or curriculum design
A team who truly value what you bring, and a place where you can thrive
