We are currently seeking an

Early years practitioner

to join our team at TLC Neighbourhood Nursery. Applicants must have previous

experience

of working in a childcare setting and a minimum

Level 3

childcare qualification. You must have excellent communication skills and be passionate about caring for and educating children. The position is for a minimum of 24 hours per week, term time only, maternity cover.

The nursery opened in 2005 and offers full day care for children aged 2 years to 5 years from Monday to Friday, 8.15 am until 3.45 pm, with children attending on a flexible basis. The setting is located in a purpose-built building located within a 15-minute walk of Wolverhampton Town Centre. The environment reflects the settings ethos, in that every child is valued and encouraged to become independent learners, by providing positive role modelling, accessible resources and safe and stimulating surroundings to develop children into active learners and reach their full potential.

Our expectations

You will be responsible for providing the best possible standards and delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on their development, needs and interests. You will ensure children have access to learning opportunities and provide activities which are educational, stimulating and fun whilst in line with the EYFS. You will encourage exploration through play whilst following policies and procedures. You will closely observe the development and progress of your key children and carry out all related responsibilities. As a key person you will in build strong professional working relationships with families and regularly share the child's development with them. Your role will include promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues. You will ensure health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.
