Luans Little People Day Nursery are looking for experienced Early Years Practitioners to join our busy team.

At Luans Little People we aim to provide a warm, friendly, happy provision where children have the opportunity to thrive in an environment which stimulates their personal needs. As part of our team you will take on a caring and nurturing role towards the children and their families ensuring the children are at the heart of all that we do and provide. You will have the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring children have access to quality early years education where they can thrive and achieve their full potential.

What you will need:

NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
Evidence of experience working in early years (0-5 years).
Great Communication skills.
To be able to work in a team
Flexibility.
To Be Fun, Friendly and Passionate about working in Early Years
Paediatric first aid training
GCSE Grade C equivalent in Maths and English
Our setting is based within the grounds of Bassetlaw hospital.

Job responsibilities will include:-

. Outstanding role model across the whole setting.

To offer a warm and friendly welcome to all children, parents, carers and visitors to the setting.

To adhere to the confidentiality policy

Drive and deliver the highest standards of care throughout the setting.

To be aware of the work of the Children's Centre and help develop positive links.

Ensure the EYFS framework is always delivered and met.

Support staff in planning and implementing play opportunities that focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage.

To effectively assess and record children's progress and learning through observations and assessments to inform next steps.

To be aware of children's special educational needs, to ensure staff support these children effectively.

To ensure play and learning opportunities are delivered in line with OFSTED and the EYFS.

Ensure children are provided with an environment where they value and respect different cultures, religion, language and disability and ensure that toys and games reflect this within the setting.

Must be flexible and willing to work outside contracted hours at short notice if necessary.

To help to set up the setting indoors and outdoors daily and to help tidy and clean up at the end of each session.

To maintain and clean equipment and materials ensuring they are in a safe condition.

To contribute to and carry out risk assessments to ensure safe provision of play and learning activities.

To play an active role in the Safeguarding of children and taking appropriate action should you become aware of any child protection concerns and follow appropriate procedures.

Ensure all policies and procedures are always adhered to.

Always operate the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

To attend all staff meetings and team days and other professional groups as appropriate.

Attend any training events in order to keep up to date with current good practice, to be discussed with Manager first.

To liaise regularly with parents/carers about their children's needs, interests, progress and other agencies as required.

To promote families and community involvement within the setting.

To encourage parents/carers to participate within their child's play and learning.

Assist the Management team in promotion of the setting, open days, summer fairs etc

Be responsible for all security procedures e.g. routines for dropping off and collecting children.

Be responsible for ensuring all accidents are recorded in the accident book.

Carry out and additional reasonable tasks as requested by the Management team.
