Cherry Tree Day Nursery are looking for a kind, enthusiastic, fun and caring practitioner to join our team in our home from home setting. Practitioners will be working with children aged 0-5 Years as part of our committed team. We pride ourselves on open communication with our families to offer the highest standard of care and learning opportunities for all children in a calm and loving environment. All practitioners are dedicated to ensuring every child is supported and encouraged to seek out opportunities and get the best out of every day, understanding the importance of feeling safe, secure and valued to support babies and children to thrive. We follow children's individual interests and grasp all opportunities to extend learning through play.
It is essential that applicants can;
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage and Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to explore, learn and grow.
- Provide individual support for children and their families and their unique needs.
- Work with parents and families to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education and needs.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, documenting observations and maintaining records.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning experiences.
- To promote a calm learning environment that is organised and equipped with resources needed to offer learning opportunities for all children.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safeguarding, and health and safety regulations.
It is essential that the applicant;
- Holds the minimum of a level 3 qualification in Children's care and education and confidently adapt these skills to competently fulfil their role. -Understands that Safeguarding is paramount.
- Has some previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Has knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Has strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and other agencies.
- Has the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and use own initiative.
- Is patience, flexible, and has a genuine passion for working with young children. - Uses initiative to make decisions with all children as the priority.
