Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning and development in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Provide attentive care for children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional support throughout the day. Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual needs. Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care, hygiene, and safety within the nursery environment. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education. Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure a structured yet enjoyable experience for all children.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues clearly and effectively. A driving licence is advantageous for potential off-site activities or outings with the children. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth through play-based learning experiences.

Pay: 12.27 per hour
