Are you a confident and compassionate early years professional with strong leadership skills? We're looking for an inspiring Room Lead to join our nurturing and high-quality nursery team!
As Room Lead, you will take responsibility for the daily running of your designated room, guiding a team of Early Years Practitioners to deliver outstanding care and learning experiences. This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate, mentor, and model best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire your team to deliver high-quality care and early learning in line with national frameworks
Create a positive and professional team culture through strong, supportive leadership
Plan, implement, and review engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences
Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children at all times
Build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Model effective practice and provide coaching and feedback to team members
Contribute to room audits, staff supervision, and nursery improvement planning
Requirements:
SVQ Level 3 or above in Early Learning and Childcare (or equivalent recognised by SSSC)
SSSC registration (or eligible to register upon appointment)
PVG Scheme membership (Protection of Vulnerable Groups)
Previous experience in an early years setting, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role
Excellent knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence, Realising the Ambition.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
A positive, proactive, and professional attitude
