Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator/Room leader to join an established Nursery based in South East London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the holistic development of children aged 0-5 years. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in managing daily activities and ensuring the highest standards of care and education.

Responsibilities

Create and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the developmental needs of each child. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning. Observe, assess, and document children's progress, ensuring individual learning plans are maintained. Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's development and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of care and education provided within the nursery setting. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Drive initiatives that promote positive behaviour and social skills among children.

Experience

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential. Strong leadership abilities with experience managing groups of children in a nursery or educational setting. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A background in managing educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles is highly desirable. A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare is preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates with significant experience.
