General responsibilities

Support the policies, ethos and vision of the Nursery and promote high levels of achievement in the early years stage. Use policy scenarios within the nursery, following up with 'how well do you know your policy'each month, to increase knowledge and understanding. Develop the knowledge and understanding of safeguarding within the nursery - quizzing staff team using safeguarding scenarios on a monthly basis. Support nursery manager with all accreditations they are working through. Keep up to date information of EAL & cultures in the rooms in order to ensure rooms have appropriate resources available. Seek and implement areas for nursery improvement, looking at ideas for environments etc. Evaluate the effectiveness of the provision in early years in close collaboration with the senior leadership team. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all members of staff, providing support and guidance.
