Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Early years room leader to join our vibrant nursery team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2-5 years.

Duties

Lead the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring high standards in line with EYFS, health & safety, and Ofsted requirementsCommunicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support child development. Manage daily activities in the nursery, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children. Work closely with the deputy and management team to maintain quality and compliance Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding and mentoring junior staff members. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and development. Drive initiatives that promote the importance of early childhood education within the community. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's learning at home.

Experience

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children and families. Proven ability to manage a classroom environment while fostering positive relationships with children. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their developmental milestones.
