About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Freelance Tutor
to provide immediate and temporary cover for our
Early Years Skills Bootcamp
program in Central London.
This is a critical, short-term role to ensure continuity and academic excellence for our current cohort. The ideal candidate will be an expert in vocational Early Years education, capable of delivering dynamic, practical, and engaging content focused on the essential skills required for entry-level work in childcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery:
Deliver pre-designed curriculum units for the Early Years Skills Bootcamp, primarily covering Level 2/3 vocational content.
Student Engagement:
Facilitate engaging, interactive, and practical learning sessions for a cohort of adult learners.
Assessment and Feedback:
Evaluate student assignments, track progress, and provide timely, constructive feedback to ensure learners meet the program outcomes.
Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive, professional, and orderly learning environment, managing attendance and basic administrative duties.
Safeguarding:
Ensure all teaching practices adhere strictly to UK safeguarding and health and safety requirements relevant to childcare.
Required Skills and Experience
Qualification (Essential):
Must hold a formal teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, QTS, or equivalent vocational teaching certification).
Subject Expertise:
Proven, recent experience teaching or training vocational courses focused on
Early Years
or
Childcare
(Level 2 or 3).
Bootcamp Experience (Desirable):
Previous experience delivering intensive, short-duration skills training or bootcamps is a significant advantage.
Compliance:
Must possess a current, Enhanced DBS check on the update system
Availability:
Must be locally based in London and able to commit to the full delivery schedule.
