What is expected of you?
As an Early Years Educator, you will deliver high-quality care and education for children, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing, while working closely with your Room Leader and team members.
Key responsibilities include -
Create a stimulating and safe learning environment and prepare resources for educational activities.
Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
Act as Key Person for a group of children, supporting their holistic development and building strong partnerships with families.
Observe, assess, and record children's progress and communicate updates to parents and senior staff.
Promote inclusivity and diversity, ensuring all children feel valued and represented.
Support children with additional needs and adapt activities to suit their requirements.
Assist with daily routines, including meals, snacks, and room operations, maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and emergency procedures.
Collaborate with colleagues, mentor less experienced team members, and participate in training and professional development.
Engage with families, respond to queries or concerns, and support events such as parents' evenings and open days.
What is this employer looking for?
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated early years professional with a genuine interest in child development, practical experience working with children under five, and the ability to deliver outstanding education in a private preschool environment.
Essential skills and experience include -
An approved Level 3 qualification or above in early years education
Previous experience working with children under 5
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues
Ability to plan, deliver, and assess activities that align with EYFS standards and support children's development
Organisational skills to manage resources, routines, and activities effectively
Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory standards
