Job Summary

Oak Lee is a busy Montessori setting set in the heart of Pinner caring for children and babies from 6mths - 5yrs. We're looking for an experienced practitioner with key person experience to join our friendly team.

This role is full time 40 hours per week for maternity cover. Working hour shifts will be between the hours of 7.30am - 6.00pm, including 1 hr paid lunch break. Oak Lee Montessori School is accessible via public transport.

Start date - ASAP ending 31st January 2027.

Duties

As a Qualified Teacher working within the Early Years, you will be responsible for providing high quality education and care, supporting children in their holistic development aged six months - five years. Your role involves creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. You will work closely with other educators and parents to ensure each child receives individualised attention and reaches their full potential.

Design and implement developmentally appropriate learning activities and experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, catering to the individual needs and interests of each child. Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where children feel valued. Maintain the classroom to the highest standards and support the planning of the outdoor provision.

What we're looking for

Previous experience working with preschool aged children (essential) Strong knowledge of the EYFS (essential) Full and relevant Early Years Teacher or QTS qualification (essential) Strong knowledge of the Montessori framework (desirable) Previous experience working within a Montessori environment (desirable) Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse needs.
