Discovery Vine Childcare specialises in Pre School education and Out of School Care for children aged 2 to 12 years. Founded in 2001, we are committed to providing safe, fun, and high-quality childcare services for children, parents/carers, and staff.
Summary
We are seeking an Early Years Teacher to join our dedicated team at Discovery Vine Ltd in the heart of our community at our Pre School at Cottam Primary School. This role is vital in nurturing children's development and ensuring a positive learning environment that aligns with our mission of high-quality childcare. This position is to work 40 hours a week, all year round.
Responsibilities
Create and implement engaging educational programs tailored to children's needs.
Take a lead role in overseeing the delivery of EYFS across the Pre School.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's learning.
Monitor and assess children's progress and development.
Maintain a clean and organised classroom setting.
Work closely with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of care.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Carry out spot checks on the quality of planning, observations and learning journeys.
Lead changes across the room and age groups when necessary.
Observe, support and extend children learning.
Plan appropriately for children using the EYFS framework.
Maintain accurate and effective children's records.
Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
Demonstrate good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
Ensuring that all legislation in relation to special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with.
Qualifications
Early Years Teacher / Professional Status or Qualified Teacher Status is essential.
The ideal candidate will also be able to:
Proven experience working with young children.
An excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Knowledge of Safeguarding and Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities
Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
Managing and maintaining administration requirements.
