Teaching Assistant Grade 3/4 (depending on experience) \xc2\xa320,812 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa321,968 pro rata.
28.75 hours per week, Monday \xe2\x80\x93Friday, 8.15am \xe2\x80\x93 3pm, Term time only.
Midday Meals Supervisor Grade 2 \xc2\xa320,441 - \xc2\xa320,812 pro rata - 1 hr per week \xe2\x80\x93 Term time only.
Initially on a temporary basis (with the possibility of extending subject to funding).

We seek an experienced, enthusiastic teaching assistant, preferably with experience of working in an Early Years setting, who is:
\xe2\x80\xa2 reliable and takes initiative
\xe2\x80\xa2 sensitive and caring; able to build relationships
\xe2\x80\xa2 has a consistent approach towards developing children\xe2\x80\x99s PSED through daily interactions
\xe2\x80\xa2 willing to become involved in children\xe2\x80\x99s play to extend their learning and develop independence
\xe2\x80\xa2 able to work with all children, including supporting children who have English as an additional language and those with SEND
\xe2\x80\xa2 willing to deliver simple group and individual interventions
\xe2\x80\xa2 able to feedback to the teacher, make observations and assessment of learning
\xe2\x80\xa2 willing to be outside in all weathers and assist with Beach School

The ideal applicant:
\xe2\x80\xa2 Will have previous experience of working in a school environment or Early Years setting; \xe2\x80\xa2
Will have passes in GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above;
\xe2\x80\xa2 Will be educated to a good standard and ideally possess qualifications in teaching support eg. NVQ L3 or above;
\xe2\x80\xa2 Have understanding of and experience of working with children;
\xe2\x80\xa2 Will be willing to uphold our school\xe2\x80\x99s Catholic ethos and contribute to the wider aspects of school life;
\xe2\x80\xa2 Work flexibly across the primary age range.

Small classes of fewer than twenty children and a brand-new outside area for the children to explore.

You will also be involved in leading lunchtime support with children two days per week, with the possibility of PPA cover one afternoon per week.

This is a temporary position for the remainder of the 2023/24 academic year, although there is the potential for the contract to be extended subject to funding. The post is for 28.75 hours per week, plus 1 hour lunch duty, term time only.
We are looking for someone to start with us no later than 2nd January 2024.
