We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant Level 4 T&L to join our Early Years team. This post will play a key role in supporting children across the phase. You will work under the direction of the Phase Leader and Teachers.

We require a resourceful, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our team. The candidate should have experience of working in a school environment or with young people.

The position is full time (35 hours per week, all year round contract)

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to implement and enhance the high quality provision. Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) unit consists of a 24 place 2 year old provision, a 26 place Nursery and a 30 place Reception. This role would initially be within our Nursery classroom.

The successful candidate will need to:

Have a good knowledge and experience of working within the EYFS framework Have a passion for working with children and enhancing their development Have the skills and knowledge to support children with a range of needs, using effective strategies to promote positive learning Be confident being responsible for a group of key children Have previous experience of supporting Nursery children Have proven class and behaviour management skills Be someone who is enthusiastic and motivated to challenge, inspire and motivate the children Be open to new ideas and committed to working as part of the school team Show a commitment to on-going professional development
Barlow Hall Primary School and Children's Centre is located in Chorlton, Manchester. We currently have 242 children on roll and we operate as a one form entry school. We are extremely proud of our diverse and inclusive school. Approximately 56% of our pupils are eligible for pupil premium funding, and 36% of our learners are identified as having a special educational need.

This post will involve supporting children who are in our Early Years, working alongside our Early Years Assistant Head in the Nursery classroom. This will involve working directly with the children in group or one to one teaching, as well as covering and leading class teaching 9under supervision and direction of the Assistant Head/Class teacher).

You will work under the direction of the Head of School and an Assistant Headteacher and will be supported by colleagues in our Early Years and school wide team.
