As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you'll help give children aged 2-5 a strong foundation for learning. This role in a specialist setting in Whitehaven starts in September and offers long?term potential.

Your Role as an Early Years Teaching Assistant


As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support 1:1 and small group learning through play?based, sensory, and exploratory activities Help children access the EYFS curriculum using creative, hands?on approaches Encourage early milestones in communication, independence, and social engagement Use visuals, sensory play, and interactive routines to build understanding and confidence Assist with daily routines such as toileting, mealtimes, and outdoor play in a caring, respectful way Observe children's progress and support planning next steps alongside other practitioners Help maintain a safe, inclusive, stimulating, and nurturing environment as an Early Years Teaching Assistant

Who We're Looking For


To be successful as an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will bring:

An Early Years or Childcare qualification

or

relevant experience working with children under 5 A warm, observant, patient nature suitable for early childhood work Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit Sensitivity to individual children's needs and the ability to adapt approaches accordingly A genuine interest in early years development and inclusive education

Working Hours

If you take a temporary role with Sense Education, you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of?12.07?% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.

Pay: 90.00-105.00 per day
