Early Years Teaching Assistant

Term time only + 5 TED days

Monday - Friday 8.45 - 3.15pm

30 hours per week

Fixed term until 31st August 2026

Teaching Assistant Salary Scale Grade 1 (SCP 2-4)

Salary will be pro rata based on part time hours and term time only

We are a friendly school with approximately 205 pupils aged between 3 and 11 years. The school fosters close links with parents and the local community. We aim to provide a happy, stimulating, and supportive climate in order for our children to achieve their maximum potential. To achieve this, we provide a wide variety of experiences for the children both on and off the school site.

The ideal candidate will be a practitioner with a level 3 qualification with effective communication skills, who is able to help develop social and communication skills and support children's learning through their play. We pride ourselves on our evidence based Early Years provision and we are looking for the right person to join our Carnforth community. We are small, established team, and would welcome candidates with a good sense of humour, strong communication skills, innovative and organised. Pediatric first aid is desirable but not essential.
