Earth Fellowships are only open to current postgraduate and PhD students at the University of Edinburgh based in the UK. Please do not apply if you are not a current University of Edinburgh student.
The Division of Global Agriculture and Food Systems and School of Geosciences are looking for a masters student to contribute to a project to develop a global database of evidence on polyculture yield and biodiversity outcomes. This 9-month project will focus on extracting, categorising and coding data from already-identified research papers, and creating a narrative synthesis of the evidence collected. The resulting resource will support researchers, policy makers, farmers and growers interested in sustainable agriculture.
This post will be appointed at Grade UE05, step 1 which is 29,179 per annum, pro rata (15.99 per hour).

Your skills and attributes for success:
Current University of Edinburgh Masters student in the academic year '25/'26.
An interest in how agriculture and food systems fit within wider planetary health.
Familiarity with systematic review software Covidence.
Ability to carry out literature reviews of academic literature and other documents.
Ability to work proactively with colleagues with a variety of expertise; understanding and valuing different points of view.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
