IQ Medical Limited is looking for a motivated and practical
EBME Operative
to join our growing technical service team at our Rugby Head Office.
In this role, you will be part of a professional workshop environment responsible for maintaining, repairing, testing, and decontaminating pressure-relieving medical devices such as dynamic mattresses, cushions, and pumps.
Your work will directly support
patient safety
,
infection prevention
, and
clinical care quality
across NHS and private healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM), electrical safety testing, and performance checks on pressure-relieving systems.
Diagnose and repair faults on pumps, mattresses, and cushions.
Support the decontamination and inspection process, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
Accurately record all work on the company's asset management system.
Prepare and package equipment for delivery to healthcare sites.
Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant workshop environment.
Provide occasional on-site support for deliveries, collections, and installations.
Work in line with MHRA and company quality management standards.

What We're Looking For
Criteria
Essential Requirements
Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering
Experience
Practical experience in technical servicing, maintenance, or engineering
Knowledge
Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, fault-finding, and safety testing
Skills
Attention to detail, teamwork, record keeping, and problem-solving
Other Requirements
Reliable, self-motivated, and methodical. Full UK driving licence required.
