EC&I Engineer

within the

Sellafield

project teams. Based out of the

Westlakes

office in

Cumbria

, you'll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.



Supporting the Engineering Manager and Design Leads in the execution of Design and Engineering scope. Review subcontractor documentation relative to various EC&I building services designs such as fire detection, radiological surveillance systems, CCTV, as well as HVAC control panel schemes and their operating philosophy. Interpret multi-system interfaces and provide an overall control philosophy/networking report. Utilise BIM/Navisworks to aid reviews and problem solving. Production of cable calculations using Trimble (and manuals calcs where required). Production of various EC&I drawings using Autocad.

What you'll be doing



Aid the Engineering Manager and Design Leads (Senior Engineers and
Engineers)
Reporting on specific design projects to Design and Engineering Leads
(Senior Engineers and Engineers)
Design LV electrical distribution systems Design of control systems, SCADA and communication networks Create the following documentation:
+ Specifications & Datasheets
+ Cable Calculations & Schedules
+ Drawings
Review and check manufacturer document / information for compliance with
project specifications
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers


Who we're looking for



Preferrable proficient in Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign Clear focus on collaboration and building relationships with other designers,
engineers and project teams to deliver cost effective and acceptable design

solutions
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and write clearly and succinctly Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design Excellent IT Skills are desirable Microsoft Office experience is essential including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint Detailed knowledge of codes of practice and other regulatory material Experience in a working within heavy industries such as Petrochemical, Power Generation, Renewables and Nuclear and defence Sellafield experience and a good understanding of the Engineering Standards/Guides and the design process Good problem solving skills and the ability to present and work through issues in a collaborative manner with various Stakeholders both internal and external Use of AutoCAD software
