Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement innovative engineering solutions.

Duties



Checking engineers and designers drawings, calculation and reports Authoring technical reports and calculations Liaising with potential suppliers in the design phase, producing technical requirements documents, Scopes of Work and procurement specifications Guiding EC&I designer Requirements identification and verification Ensuring compliance to all EC&I legislation Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimise system performance. Document all engineering processes, designs, and changes in accordance with company standards.

Experience



A demonstrable track record of delivery and expertise in the design of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation with general experience across the whole EC&I discipline. Control Systems Electrical Supply Infrastructure Machine Design in compliance with Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: Great Britain (Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC) EC&I Functional Safety systems Process Instruments SCADA Understanding of EC&I Design standards such as, BS EN 61082-1:2015, IEC 60617:2025, BS EN 62027:2012, BS EN 62491:2008, BS EN IEC 81346-1:2022 and BS EN IEC 81346-2:2019 EC&I Project Management Security in Design Experience with plant and documentation configuration management. Experience with implementing BS7671 and the "The Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016" (Low Voltage Directive). Significant experience working on projects in all major phases of the life cycle. Experience with nuclear safety cases, and the classification of Structures, Systems and Components. Experience in Functional Safety Standards Experience with EC&I relevant 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN Experience working within BIM enabled projects. Knowledge of electrical systems design, including calculations and EMC assessment. Experience of software/hardware/embedded programming for machinery and process plant control.
