Job Overview



We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven

ECO4 Retrofit Assistant Manager

to join our growing energy-efficiency team. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver government-backed ECO4 retrofit projects that improve homes and reduce carbon emissions.

Key Responsibilities



Ensure all retrofit assessments are checked and processed for coordination in a timely manner.

Ensure all pre-ECO4 checks, and paperwork are completed accurately and error-free.

Oversee compliance with ECO4 and PAS 2035 standards, including documentation and reporting.

Liaise with retrofit assessors, coordinators, installers, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule.

Monitor project progress, budgets, and quality, escalating issues when needed.

Prepare and maintain records for audits and funding claims.

Support the Head of Retrofit in driving continuous improvement and best practice across all projects.

Reporting



Reports to:

Head of Retrofit

Provide regular updates on:

Project pipeline, progress, and completion rates.

Quality assurance checks and compliance status.

Any issues, delays, or health & safety concerns requiring management input.

Key performance indicators (KPIs) and ECO4 funding targets.

Essential Requirements



Minimum

2-3 years' experience

within ECO, retrofit, or energy-efficiency projects

Strong understanding of ECO4 scheme requirements and PAS 2035 processes

Excellent organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail

Confident communicator who can work both independently and collaboratively

Proficient in MS Office and project management systems

30,000- 35,000 depending on experience

Hybrid working while office location is finalised (eventually full-time office-based in the North East)
