This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for design, basic HTML skills, and a passion for crafting engaging website content and email campaigns. You'll play a key role in shaping the customer experience through effective visual communication and strategic content placement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Website Design & Content Creation
Design and update banners for homepage, category pages, and promotional landing pages.
Format and maintain on-site content including product pages, collections, and promotional messaging using basic HTML.
Ensure visual consistency across all web content in line with brand guidelines.
Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to align website content with promotional and seasonal campaigns.
2. Email Marketing
Plan, design, and send marketing emails that support sales goals, new product launches, and promotions.
Create visually appealing, mobile-optimized email layouts with engaging copy and clear calls to action.
Manage email lists, segment audiences, and set up automation flows (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart) using platforms like Klaviyo or Mailchimp.
Track performance metrics and continuously optimize campaigns based on engagement and conversion data.
3. Marketing Calendar Execution
Own the marketing content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of banners and email campaigns.
Coordinate with internal teams to align messaging with stock levels, promotions, and upcoming events.
Prepare assets and messaging for seasonal campaigns, flash sales, and product pushes.
4. Visual Merchandising Support
Ensure all marketing visuals and content support the merchandising strategy and highlight key products and offers.
Work closely with the inventory and sales teams to ensure marketing reflects real-time product availability.
Contribute creative ideas for promotions and merchandising strategies to drive engagement and sales.
5. Performance Tracking & Optimization
Use tools like Google Analytics, Klaviyo/Mailchimp insights, and heatmaps to measure the performance of content and emails.
Provide recommendations to improve user engagement, CTRs, and conversion rates through design and content refinements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Canva.
Basic HTML knowledge for content formatting and email template editing.
Experience with e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, etc.).
Skilled in email marketing tools like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent written and visual communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
1-3 years of experience in a similar e-commerce or digital marketing role.
Experience designing for responsive web and email formats.
Familiarity with A/B testing and performance-driven design decisions.
Understanding of UX/UI principles in e-commerce environments.
