A look into the role:

Henderson Food Service is the leading supplier to the food service industry in Ireland. We source and supply a range of thousands of products to customers including hotels, restaurants, and public sector organisations such as hospitals and offices.

This role maximises online engagement to drive sales, customer acquisition and customer retention across multiple channels and brands.

Our E-Commerce Lead will build and evolve B2B and B2C channels for one of Northern Ireland\'s largest companies, using market leading e-commerce, marketing and product data tools (Adobe Commerce, Shopify, DotDigital, Klayvio, Akeneo PIM).

You will work as part of a highly collaborative team of marketing, design and data professionals, helping to ensure our online activity works hand in hand with our offline marketing and sales, tied together by key insights and data analysis.

This position will be well suited to a candidate who is focused on continuous learning and who is passionate about what they do.

As E-Commerce Lead you will:

  • Work with the Product Manager to ensure the effective delivery and ongoing evolution of the Henderson Foodservice e-commerce strategy.
  • Ensure e-commerce is effectively built into our marketing and wider business strategies.
  • Delivery daily e-commerce functions within Henderson Foodservice.
  • Execute targeted online content to engage existing and new customers, (tailored by customer segment) using web, email marketing and social networking.
  • Drive the use of customer insight and data driven segmentations online with the support of the Product Manager.
  • Line management of the Commercial Advertising Executive role to maximise advertising income opportunities online via web, email marketing and social networking.
  • Support the Product Manager in scoping future functionality needs.
  • Assist development/support resource with UAT.
  • Lead on identifying and developing new e-commerce opportunities for Henderson Foodservice.
  • Work with the Specification and Sales teams to ensure that the product and customer data required to effectively drive e-commerce is available.
Skills for Success

Joining us as E-Commerce Lead, the minimum criteria you\'ll need is:
  • Minimum five GCSE\'s (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • Strong evidence of proven professional experience managing a Business to Business (B2B) or Business to Consumer (B2C) e-commerce website.
  • Experience of managing and delivering marketing campaigns online, including onsite and push channels (email, social etc)
  • Experience of optimising onsite merchandising.
  • Experience of identifying gaps in existing user experience, online functionality or business processes to improve e-commerce returns.
The attributes you\'ll need include:
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Sound technical understanding of e-commerce systems and processes.
  • Sound understanding of GDPR.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Excellent standard of numeracy and problem solving skills.
It is desirable if you have:
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a marketing or business discipline OR a relevant professional certification for the post.
  • Existing experience of using Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento 2), Shopify or other e-marketing/e-commerce tech.
  • Experience of activating commercial advertising campaigns online.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
