THE ROLE
Wella Company is seeking a talented, ambitious and innovative eCommerce Manager to drive the direct-to-consumer owned platform of OPI.com as well as the new venture of TikTok Shop operated via a distributor - brands include OPI, with expansion into Wella Care and Clairol on the horizon - This is a commercial and website ownership role.
Responsible for developing the tools to drive our DTC business via either owned platform or social selling, working directly with our Associate Director E-Commerce to ensure we are maximising communication and driving customers to our platforms alongside ensuring sales targets are hit consistently every month. Reporting to the Associate Director E-Commerce, this role will champion our ongoing efforts to develop our online presence and deliver incremental revenue through our brands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
Define and bring to life the OPI UK eCom strategy, challenging commercial teams and presenting the vision at senior level
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across Brand, Trade Marketing and Education to align ecommerce strategy with overall business needs and direction
Sales & Conversion
Responsible for owning, driving and delivering monthly eCommerce sales targets
Perform regular reporting to put recommendations in place to increase business
In collaboration with Strategic Revenue Manager, map out the monthly promotional plan
Be proactive in identifying any gaps or areas of improvement to help reach commercial goals
Website Management
Working with the Global Digital Tech Team and OPI Global Digital team on future development releases and managing tickets
Responsible for testing any development changes for the UK and sign off if the requirements are met
Identifying and raising any bugs
Identify any areas of improvement for the customer journey and to drive innovation across the site, taking inspiration from eCommerce best practices, search trends, customer insights, shopper research and competitor analysis
Content
Review and implement new content strategies alongside Brand Marketing and education teams
Manage the product catalogue and ensure we have 100% perfect store online, managing out of stocks/discons, merchandising and maximising the product pages
Provide content and details for listings to Rex Brown (TikTok distributor) to ensure listings are accurate and the best representation of our brand
Digital Marketing & Acquisition
Drive the affiliate programme, working with our account manager to onboard relevant publishers and book in content/features and look to drive a positive ROI. Define the strategy to help continue the growth of the channel
Work alongside our external media agency on PPC, Google Shopping and PMAX campaigns. Analyse performance and work with the agency on areas of improvement, communicating learnings back to the team
Partner with the CRM Manager to ensure that the trade plan is supported and work on any new implementations which can help drive revenue
Explore new ways of acquiring customers and retaining these
AOB
Ownership of eCommerce budget and raising invoices
Forecasting for future new NPD and collection launches
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Experience setting up and driving sales as a brand owner on TikTok Shop
You have 2-4 years' experience in eCommerce / website management roles for consumer brand with proven track record in building eCommerce businesses
Experience in complex project management
Proactive and driven mindset, with the ability to take ownership of projects and meet deadlines
Be a self-starter and can hit the ground running
You have top-notch analytical skills with the proven ability to interpret data to drive actionable business building solutions
Proven organisation skills, time management skills, multi-tasking ability, high level of detail orientation and ability to implement and execute projects
In-depth knowledge of eCommerce best practices and the online shopper
Desirable:
Shopify Plus, Contentful and Algolia experience
Google analytics, CRM systems, CMS and SEO tools
