Job Description

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a

Ecommerce Site Merchandiser and Developer

to join our Digital Merchandising team on a full-time basis for 12 months. This role will be based in our Merton office.


The

Ecommerce Site Merchandiser and Developer

will drive sales and improve conversion across our digital channels through strategic site merchandising, content planning, and data analysis. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure products are accurately presented to deliver an exceptional customer experience and boost ecommerce performance.


KEY REPSONSIBILITIES




Performance Monitoring & Reporting




Analyse data and optimise performance: Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Excel) to track performance, identify trends, and implement data-driven improvements to the website and merchandising efforts. Prepare and deliver weekly, and monthly reports to closely monitor site performance and identify key insights. Identify opportunities based on analysis of weekly sales performance and recommend strategies to maximize profitability.

Trading & Merchandising




Develop and maintain key trade areas of the E-commerce platform: Build and customise online store using Salesforce platform. Implement visual merchandising strategies: Optimise product placement, visual merchandising, and navigation to boost sales and enhance the customer journey. Develop and manage a product assortment strategy that aligns with global ecommerce goals for both .com and other digital platforms. Oversee product upload activities to ensure timely launches, coordinating with cross-functional teams to gather all required information.

Site Management & Presentation




Enhance site functionality with features like search filters, recommendations, and promotional tools Ensure accurate product categorization and merchandising to drive sales and improve user experience Manage and update product pages in line with sales strategy, launch calendar, and customer insights Monitor inventory and adjust merchandising in collaboration with warehouse, buying, and planning teams Oversee and improve the customer journey to boost conversion Lead development and integration of new features to enhance navigation and search

Pricing & Promotions




Prepare and manage seasonal markdowns and price lists, ensuring accurate and timely updates across the platform. Manage online price books and communicate any pricing changes to relevant stakeholders.

Data Analysis & Insights




Use tools like GA4 and Excel to track performance, identify trends, and drive data-led site and merchandising improvements Create ad-hoc and monthly reports to extract actionable insights Regularly review web analytics to optimize conversion via navigation, A/B testing, promotions, and AI features Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to enhance SEO through optimized product listings and content

Cross-Functional Collaboration




Collaborate with digital marketing, buying, content, and customer service teams to deliver a cohesive online experience Support global ecommerce strategy across regions, currencies, and time zones Troubleshoot site issues and manage dev tickets with third-party developers through to deployment Stay current with emerging ecommerce technologies and best practices

PROFILE & KEY SKILLS




Essential skills




Proficient in e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) Skilled in front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; React/Angular optional) Basic back-end knowledge (PHP, Python, Node.js depending on platform) Solid grasp of SEO best practices Strong data analysis and reporting skills Effective problem-solving and debugging; able to delegate to external dev teams Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teams Detail-oriented with high accuracy in content and pricing Creative with a strong visual sense for engaging online experiences

Desirable skills




Proficient in merchandising and analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Hotjar, Clarity, GA4) Skilled in A/B testing and CRO Strong understanding of UX/UI principles Experienced with Git and version control systems
