The Vitals: What You'll Be Doing
This full-time role is structured to immerse you in effective teaching practice, focusing on developing your skills in delivering engaging, practical, and theoretical Art and Design instruction.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Engagement: Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that explore diverse mediums, art history, and critical analysis, fostering a love for creative expression.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with your assigned departmental mentor and the wider Arts team to share ideas and continually refine your pedagogy.

Essential Requirements:
  • Qualification: A degree in Art and Design or a related creative discipline (e.g., Fine Art, Textiles, Graphics).
  • Certification: Hold, or be expecting to successfully complete, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) upon taking up the post.
  • Status: Must be eligible to begin or continue the Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction period.
