Quality Lead - Rugby (supporting Rugby & Stourport-on-Severn sites)

This isn't just about ticking ISO boxes. It's about making sure what goes out the door is something you'd be proud to put your name on. You'll be the go-to person for all things quality across two sites, helping keep operations sharp, compliant, and customer-friendly.
You'll report to the EC UK Quality and Compliance Manager and work closely with production, operations, and suppliers. If you like solving problems, improving systems, and making things better (without making a fuss), you'll fit right in.

The Role


You'll lead quality efforts across Rugby and Stourport, making sure systems run smoothly, standards are met, and people know what good looks like. You'll supervise a small team, run audits, and help drive improvements using Lean and Six Sigma tools.


Responsibilities:
Run and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO standards Lead internal and supplier audits, and follow up with action plans Manage non-conformances and customer complaints Present quality data and performance metrics to management Support supplier qualification and material evaluations Oversee product release and compliance documentation Train quality staff and promote regulatory awareness Investigate issues using 5Why, 8D, and root cause analysis Guide digital tools for quality data and reporting Collaborate on new product quality checks and risk assessments Keep health, safety, and environmental standards in check

Qualifications:

About You / What You'll Bring

Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality Solid experience in manufacturing quality roles Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Skilled in audits, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and EHS standards Confident with Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement Analytical, organised, and a clear communicator Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel is your friend)

Nice to Have

Experience leading cross-functional teams through complex quality issues Familiarity with digital quality systems and reporting tools
