We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team within the Paediatric Emergency Department here at the Dudley group.
You will be expected to carry out ECG's, Wound care, Plastering, cannulation, venepuncture and will be supported to carry out these skills competently.
The area comprises of x4 medical assessment cubicles, as well as a isolation / treatment cubicle, x4 minor injury cubicles, and an adolescent room where patients can feel relaxed whilst having the opportunity to access game consoles or age appropriate games.
A dedicated paediatric resus room is available to provide 1:1 dedicated specialised care, with the support from the extended paediatric medical team and ward.
With a continuing growing nursing team we strive to provide excellent care to our patients and their families.
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, implementation and evaluation of care without supervision. They will be required to safely manage the care of a sick child delivering a high standard of care and commitment. They will have good Knowledge around the Emergency Department, and understand some of the national targets that are expected from Emergency Departments. The post holder will be expected to work with the wider ED team and multidisciplinary teams working in collaboration to provide safe and effective care
