Job Title: Editor, Care Home Professional
Location: 140 Old Street, London EC1V 9BJ
Terms: Full time, office-based
Care Home Professional is part of ITP UK, the London office of ITP Media Group, which has over 400 employees in 10 countries. The global operation produces around 70 titles, reaches millions of people every month and hosts hundreds of events.
Care Home Professional is a digital-first brand that has established itself as the title of record for the British care home industry.
Thousands of executives rely on Care Home Professional for daily updates of the latest news, expert commentary on the issues of the day, and for its year-round programme of events that bring the industry together.
As part of our plan for continuous growth, we are looking for an expert B2B editor or a business reporter ready to make the step up to a management position.
Direct experience of the care sector will be appreciated, but is not essential. Much more vital is the ability to build relationships with senior business executives who, in many cases, are running multi-million-pound businesses.
The perfect candidate will have the following mix of skills:

• A fantastic work ethic and entrepreneurial drive to continuously make Care Home Professional bigger, better and more valuable to the industry.

• A great business reporter's nose for news and a sub editor's ability to craft it into outstanding articles and headlines.

• An editor's instinct for what to focus on every day for website news and monthly for the print magazine.

• The ability to plan and host events ranging from intimate round tables up to conferences and awards ceremonies attended by hundreds of industry leaders.

• Commercial understanding and a willingness to work closely with the sales team to build relationships with suppliers that help to secure advertising and event sponsorship revenue.
