About the role

------------------

Are you a fantastic editor, and keen to work in a fun, driven, and friendly team, at one of the best universities in the world? Then this role could be for you. Read on to find out more.

What you would be doing

---------------------------

As an Editor in the Digital Media Lab, you will be pivotal in the creative and educational success of a wide variety of films, animations, podcasts, and immersive teaching content. You will collaborate with multiple DML practitioners, from producers and camera operators to motion graphics designers, as well as multiple inter-disciplinary project teams from across the university, combining creative, technical, and quality control tasks from pre-production to delivery. You will also work with appropriate Gen AI tools and solutions, guided by team Leads and DML's management team.

What we are looking for

---------------------------

We are looking for a seriously good team player- someone who isn't only a fantastic editor themselves, but who will collaborate with and contribute to the other post production staff, work, and the wider DML team. We are looking for someone who has significant experience in film editing ad post production, who is willing to learn new skills, who can bring their knowledge and experience to our team and help us to keep driving to be even better at what we do. For the full list of experience, knowledge and skills required for the role, please read the full job description.

What we can offer you

-------------------------

At the DML, we like to challenge and stretch ourselves, so we can offer you opportunities to take training and develop skills relevant to this role. We like our staff to work with each other across disciplines, not in siloes, so where appropriate and possible we like to encourage shadowing across our different teams. Not a formal benefit, but we like to have fun at work, so even when we are under high pressure or high stress, we prioritise supporting each other, maintaining good humour and sense of humour. Many of our team enjoy socialising with each other (doing classes together at lunch times, sports, some creative projects outside of work, work socials, but these are not mandatory! We respect that not everyone wants to do this). We have a very diverse team, people of many ages, many backgrounds, and many nationalities- as such, no matter who you are, there is a place for you at the DML and Imperial, we welcome everyone.

More generally at imperial:
